A story about Anxiety
for your 2nd Grader.

In a magical town nestled within a beautiful forest, everyone had a unique hobby. Vivian, a dramatic girl with a love for music, lived here. One day, while exploring the forest, she found a shiny whistle with an inscription: 'The bearer must perform at the town festival'.

Vivian's heart pounded. She imagined herself on stage, all eyes on her. What if she made a mistake? What if everyone laughed? Her stomach churned with anxiety.

Vivian shared her fears with her parents. Her mother hugged her and said, 'It's okay to feel anxious, Vivian. Everyone does when they face something new.'

Her father added, 'And remember, it's not about being perfect. It's about enjoying the music and sharing it with others.'

Vivian decided to give it a try. She started practicing with the whistle. At first, the notes were all over the place. But she didn't give up.

Days turned into weeks. Vivian practiced every day, and slowly, she started to enjoy the process. She still felt anxious, but she also felt a new sense of excitement.

The day of the festival arrived. Vivian's heart pounded as she stepped onto the stage. She looked at the crowd and took a deep breath.

She put the whistle to her lips and started to play. The first few notes were shaky, but she kept going. The crowd clapped and cheered her on.
