A story about Respect
for your Preschooler.

Zippy Zapata steps into the grand, twinkling hall. The chandeliers shine bright. The walls whisper, “Find kind words to unlock the maze!”

Nessie Sparkles peeks around a corner. She blinks at a glowing door. The door says, “Be patient, then you may pass!”

They see a tall puzzle box in the center of the room. It rattles when they tap it. A soft glow begins to dance around its edges.

Zippy Zapata reads a riddle: “Say ‘Please,’ and I will open!’ He says, “Please!” The box clicks and a little note appears: ‘Please is a kind word.’

Nessie Sparkles follows the whispers. She bumps into another door. It says, “Kind words make me smile!”

Inside the room is a busy clock with ticking gears. It sounds like “Tik-tok, tik-tok.” The clock has a small latch that needs a kind word.

Zippy Zapata tries another gentle word: “Thank you, clock.” The latch unlocks with a happy ding! Another note appears: ‘Thank you is a kind word.’

Nessie Sparkles spots a hidden wall. She taps it softly. The wall says, “Good manners keep doors open!”
