One day in the jungle, a mighty lion was sleeping under a tree. His mane shimmered in the sun.

A tiny mouse ran by and accidentally tickled the lion’s nose. “ACHOO!” sneezed the lion—and woke up with a roar!

The lion caught the mouse under his big paw. “Who dares to wake me?” he growled.

“I’m so sorry!” squeaked the mouse. “Please let me go! I promise I’ll help you someday!”

The lion laughed. “You? Help me? You’re too small!” But he lifted his paw and let the mouse go free.

Days later, the lion walked into a hunter’s trap. Ropes tangled around him, and he couldn’t escape.

He roared and roared for help. No one came… except one tiny creature.

It was the mouse! “I remember you,” he said. “I’ll help you, just like I promised.”
