A story about How to Say Sorry
for your 1st Grader.

Inside a cozy, twinkling cave with glowing crystals, Luna Lighthug smiled at the gentle echoes. She wore a sparkly cape that shimmered in the dim light. She listened closely, hearing laughter bounce around the rock walls.

Farther inside the cave, Blinky Sparx tinkered with a shiny puzzle. He turned gears and pressed buttons. “This puzzle holds the secret to echoing laughter,” he said in a bright, metallic voice.

The puzzle had swirling shapes and moving parts that glowed whenever it was turned. Tiny lights blinked each time a gear clicked into place, and the biggest button pulsed with a soft, rainbow glow.

Luna Lighthug peeked over at the puzzle. She felt excited to help make the laughter even louder. “May I try?” she asked softly. She pressed a glowing button with her slender fingers.

Blinky Sparx nodded. “Yes, please help,” he said. “But be careful. This puzzle is tricky. One small twist can change the sounds in unexpected ways!” He tightened a loose gear with a tiny tool.

All around them, the glowing crystals sparkled. Their soft light made the cave feel warm and welcoming. Each crystal hummed with quiet magic, ready to join in the laughter song.

Luna Lighthug turned another dial and heard a strange pop. Suddenly, the happy echoes of laughter changed into loud hiccups. “Oh no!” Luna gasped. “I didn’t mean to do that!”

Blinky Sparx dropped his tiny tool. “That’s not good,” he said, shaking his head. “The whole cave is filled with hiccups now. We must fix this!” He picked up the puzzle and studied it closely.
