A story about Getting a New Brother
for your Preschooler.

In a cozy city apartment filled with books and musical instruments, lived a dramatic girl named Vivian. Vivian loved music more than anything else. She would tap her feet to the rhythm of the rain and hum along with the melody of the wind.

One sunny afternoon, Vivian's parents sat her down. 'Vivian,' her mother began, 'you're going to be a big sister.' Vivian's heart skipped a beat. A baby? In their musical apartment?

Vivian was unsure. She loved her life as it was. Would a baby change everything? She spent the night tossing and turning, her mind filled with questions.

The next day, Vivian's parents showed her the baby's room. It was right next to hers. 'This is where your little brother will sleep,' her father said. Vivian looked at the tiny crib. It was so small, just like the notes on her music sheet.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Vivian watched as her mother's belly grew. She started to feel a strange rhythm in her heart, a mix of excitement and worry.

Finally, the day arrived. Vivian's little brother was born. He was tiny and cute, but he cried a lot. 'Babies cry, Vivian. It's their way of communicating,' her mother explained.

Vivian tried to understand her little brother. She noticed his cries had a rhythm, like a song. She started to tap along, turning his cries into music.

One night, her little brother wouldn't stop crying. Vivian picked up her violin and started to play a lullaby. To her surprise, her brother stopped crying and listened.
