A story about How to Say Sorry
for your 2nd Grader.

Queen Neena woke up to the warm sun shining through her tall castle windows. She jumped out of bed, feeling excited for a day of exploring the colorful garden.

Blossom Sprout, a friendly plant monster, greeted her with a happy wave. He loved to check on the flowers every morning.

They headed outside and saw a row of golden daisies dancing in the breeze. Queen Neena smiled at how bright they looked against the green grass.

While playing hide-and-seek, Queen Neena raced around a corner. She and Blossom Sprout accidentally stepped on the daisies, crushing their soft petals.

The garden caretaker, Mrs. Petal, saw what happened. She frowned and gently touched the broken stems, looking truly sad.

Queen Neena felt her cheeks grow hot. She whispered, “I didn’t mean to ruin them. I’m so sorry.”

Blossom Sprout touched Queen Neena’s arm. “Let’s fix this together,” he said. “We can plant new daisies and show Mrs. Petal we truly apologize.”

They gathered tiny daisy seeds and some gentle watering cans. Their plan was to bring the patch of flowers back to life.
