Milo the Mummy stood under the starry sky. He wrapped his bandages tight, then smiled. That night, the desert felt cool on his toes, and the stars twinkled like tiny lights in the dark.

Zibloo the Alien hopped over the dunes, eager to see something new. With big, bright eyes, he gazed at the shining sky, dreaming of adventures far from home.

Milo saw a streak of light zoom across the sky. His heart raced. “A falling star!” he said quietly. He noticed a strange shape in the distance, but his eyes stayed on that bright trail.

Zibloo heard a voice carried on the desert breeze. “Hello?” he called, spinning around and looking for someone. A faint glow shone in the distance, and he felt a thrill inside.

A bright star floated down from the dark sky, trailing a glimmering tail. It flickered softly, then settled on the warm sand. Its gentle glow lit the ground like a tiny lantern.

Milo’s tummy felt heavy. “I feel split,” he whispered. “Some nights, I’m in my cozy tomb with Mom. Then I’m at Dad’s pyramid the next. It’s hard, like a star pulled between the sky and the earth.”

Zibloo listened from behind a dune. He understood feeling far away. “I miss my own planet,” he said softly. “It can hurt sometimes, but I talk about it, and that helps the hurt go away a little.”

A tall cactus stood beside a round stone, quietly guarding the desert. Tiny beetles scurried across the sand. The cactus spines glowed beneath the moonlight, sharp yet beautiful.
