Milo's Big Challenge

A story about Potty Training

for your 2nd Grader.

Once upon a time, in a warm, cozy home, lived a Sleepy Dog named Milo. Milo loved to play with his bones and take long naps. But Milo had a problem. He didn't know when and how to go potty.

One day, while Milo was playing in the kitchen, he suddenly felt a strange sensation. Before he knew it, he had gone potty right there on the kitchen floor!

"Oh no, Milo!" his family exclaimed. Milo felt so embarrassed. He didn't want to upset his family. He decided right then, he would learn the proper potty rules.

The next day, Milo woke up early. He remembered his decision and felt a little nervous. But he was also excited. Today was the day he would start his potty training adventure!

Milo's family explained to him that he needed to go potty outside. They showed him the back door and told him to scratch it when he needed to go. Milo nodded, understanding the new rule.

But Milo found it hard to remember the new rule. He was playing with his favorite bone when he felt the strange sensation again. He forgot about the back door and went potty in the living room.

"Oh Milo," his family sighed. But they didn't get angry. They reminded him gently about the back door. Milo felt bad but he was determined to get it right.

The next time, Milo remembered the back door. But it was so cold outside! He didn't want to go out. He tried to hold it in, but he couldn't. He went potty right by the back door.
