Home Run to the Bathroom

A story about Potty Training
for your 1st Grader.

In a vibrant city, there lived a caring boy named Lee. He loved baseball more than anything. His dad managed the city's popular baseball stadium, and his mom was a dedicated first-grade teacher. Lee dreamed of becoming a baseball player like his dad.

But Lee had a hurdle. He was afraid of using public bathrooms. This fear often made him uncomfortable during his baseball games. He wished he could overcome it.

One day, Lee's mom noticed his discomfort. She decided to help him. She gave him a 'bathroom playbook', a guide for all kinds of potty scenarios. It was written in funny, baseball-themed language.

"This is your new playbook, Lee," his mom said. "Just like in baseball, you need to know when to run to the base - or in this case, the bathroom."

Lee found the playbook hilarious and helpful. He learned about the 'home-run', which meant going to the bathroom before leaving home. The 'double-play' was using the bathroom at both home and school.

But the 'grand slam' was the toughest - using a public bathroom. Lee was still nervous about it. But his mom encouraged him, "Just like in a game, Lee, sometimes you have to face your fears to win."

Lee decided to try. The next day at the stadium, he felt the need to go. He remembered the 'grand slam' and decided to face his fear.

It was a bit scary at first, but he remembered his playbook. He washed his hands, used the bathroom, and came out feeling proud. He had hit his first 'grand slam'!
