A story about Nap Time
for your Preschooler.

In the Sleepy Forest lived an elf named Flicker Sparkleaf. Flicker loved to hop, skip, and explore. She never liked to stop. She never liked to rest!

Every day, the forest was filled with soft, whispering breezes. The wise old owl watched from a high branch and blinked slowly.

One day, Flicker Sparkleaf heard the owl say, “At nap time, we find secret dreams. Do not miss them!” Flicker felt a happy tingle in her heart.

Flicker Sparkleaf wanted to see the forest at nap time. She tiptoed past the owl, hoping to sneak away for more adventure.

A shiny puddle sparkled in the sunlight. Tiny bubbles rose and popped on the water’s surface.

Flicker Sparkleaf tried to leap over the puddle. But she yawned and nearly tumbled. She felt her eyes grow heavy.

The wise old owl glided close and said, “Take slow breaths, Flicker. Rest helps you grow strong.” Flicker pouted. She wanted more fun.

A tall mushroom stood by the path, shining purple and gold. Little drops of dew trembled on its edges.
