Bolda the Bright carefully fastened her wool cape before stepping onto the wooden dock. Above her, the stars sparkled against the dark sky, hinting at secrets waiting to be discovered. She could not wait to set off on her nighttime quest, hoping to find the legendary Sea of Stars deep among Norway’s grand fjords.

Just as Bolda released the ropes from the dock, Nessie Sparkles poked her slender neck above the water’s surface. With a curious tilt of her head, she let out a low hum, as if saying hello. Though few believed in sea creatures, Bolda knew her glimmering friend was real—and ready for an adventure.

Their small Viking boat sliced gently through the still water. Nearby, an old lantern cast a flickering glow, revealing a map believed to show the path toward the Sea of Stars. Legend whispered that fallen stars gathered there, shining for those who missed them most.

While they sailed beneath the auroras, Bolda felt her chest tighten. She had just heard that the village elder had passed away. He was the one who had taught her how to navigate by the stars, and she could not shake the ache in her heart.

Nessie Sparkles watched Bolda quietly. Her scales glowed like soft lanterns, as though sharing empathy. The creature nudged Bolda’s arm softly, reminding her that sometimes, comfort can be found in small gestures.

Bolda remembered the elder’s words: “Memories keep our loved ones close.” Her tears stopped when she recalled how he used to laugh at the littlest joke, and how his eyes lit up whenever he discovered something new. She realized that, much like the Sea of Stars, good memories can guide you forward.

The wind grew stronger, and waves slapped against the hull. Nessie Sparkles bravely pressed on, leading them away from the safety of the shallows. She swam ahead, lighting the path with her shining scales. Although Bolda felt uncertain, she reminded herself that confronting challenges often brought new understanding.

Suddenly, a swirling mass of glowing seaweed floated near the boat. This magical plant was said to bloom only under the northern lights. Its soft glow lit up the water, guiding them ever closer to their destination.
