A story about Morning Routine
for your 1st Grader.

Blossom Sprout wakes up in the enchanting garden. She stretches her leafy arms wide. The morning sun feels warm on her petals.

Every morning, Blossom Sprout likes to sing a gentle tune. She softly pats the soil to say hello to her tiny plant friends. “Good morning, everyone!” she whispers.

She picks up her watering can to give her seeds a cool drink. Water splashes and the soil grows dark and wet.

But this morning, Blossom Sprout notices something strange. Her tasty sunflower seeds are gone! She checks the spot where she kept them, but they have vanished.

“Where did my seeds go?” asks Blossom Sprout. She looks around and spots a group of squirrels with chubby cheeks. The squirrels chatter happily as they nibble on sunflower seeds.

Blossom Sprout feels frustrated. “Those are my seeds!” she says. She takes a deep breath, remembering that talking can help solve problems.

She steps closer, careful not to scare them, and waves hello. The squirrels pause, seeds still in their tiny paws.

“I need those seeds to grow big sunflowers,” says Blossom Sprout. The squirrels blink and chatter, then one squirrel nods. “We are sorry,” it squeaks.
